I am currently in my second semester of my Masters of Science in Education. I am at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education in the Teaching, Learning and Leadership program. Alongside classes, I am working as a graduate assistant for the program division and I am also working as a literacy tutor at a West Philadelphia K-8 school and a volunteer 2nd math tutor at a West Philadelphia K-5 school through one of my classes.

Since graduating, I've been able to use a lot of what I've learned in GDS to frame my masters program in education in hopes to become a elementary classroom teacher soon. Many of my current readings are actually by the same scholars we read in GDS. My masters program is about 85% international so I've been able to continue to gain insight into how schooling functions in various cultures and societies. I aim to graduate this summer and have been applying to teacher residencies to begin my teacher certification process. I've also been exploring the Philadelphia community which has been wonderful and I hope to plant some roots in the community and teach in Philadelphia following my graduation.
